The 22-year-old from Pescara denounced everything on social media: They are shooting my private videos on social media, not shared by me and some facts without my knowledge. I filed a complaint. I want to give a voice to the guilty victims when, on the other hand, the culprits are others ”
The umpteenth case of violence against women affects the world of football. Diana Di Meo, 22-year-old football referee of the Pescara section, tells it, who reported on her Instagram profile the story of which she was involuntary protagonist and victim: “They are shooting my private videos on social networks such as Telegram and Whatsapp, unshared videos from me and some facts without my knowledge. Obviously I filed a complaint, they are tracking down the culprits and those involved in sharing the videos because this is also a crime under the code of the red color.
The woman continues: I discovered these videos thanks to some guys. I denounced everything on social media to make myself stronger because I had been locked in the house for two days. I thank all the boys and girls who are writing to me from all over Italy. It is a situation that I do not wish on anyone, I am trying to resist but not everyone succeeds. We need to report these videos and the people who continue to share these things. I’m here to talk about it, many of us can’t do it and hide, I hope to give a voice to all those victims who are blamed, when in reality the culprit is on the other side of the screen, shooting or “limiting himself” “To share. Today the victim is me, tomorrow it could be a person close to who maybe now is watching the videos and smiling. It is never the victim’s fault, remember that. ”
Diana Di Meo she says she doesn’t know how everything could have happened: I didn’t send them. I’m afraid that someone has entered my cell phone, my i-Cloud ». From there what the woman defines as «incredible days. There are those who condemn me, those who exaggerate, there are bad comments. Fortunately, many express solidarity to me. Then everyone has their own ideas. Just be polite and respectful, I do not express judgments on anyone .
Assistant referee of the Pescara section, student of Legal Services for the business and passionate about fitness, Di Meo passed the referees course in December 2015. He had recently spoken about her career as follows: “Being an referee is not as simple as it seems. I still remember the tension 10 minutes before I entered the field on my debut, at 16. The best memory instead is the return to the field after the forced stop of the championships due to Covid. The dream? One day direct a match at San Siro or in some other big stadium.
